Happy New Year! I am back from a restful holiday with family and friends, and am looking foward to all that 2008 will bring. To that end, I have caught up on loose ends from 2007 and I finally have put up photos from my November trip to Belgium. I stayed in Brussels for a week, with day trips to Bruges and Antwerp. I drank Belgian beer, ate mussels and frites, and met interesting people from all over, making it the perfect vacation for enjoying the small moments that make each day wonderful. Best wishes to each of you for a year filled with moments of joy and wonder.

Happy autumn! It's been a beautiful season for photography, celebrations, reading good books, drinking red wine, and connecting with friends old and new. In addition to photos of the gorgeous East Coast fall, I've added a few shots from my friend's wedding last month. I had never before taken a camera to a wedding because I used to feel it would be distracting from the moment, but I discovered it's really fun to capture the details that help make for a joyous occasion. Thanks for visiting my site. It's now been just 2 months since I moved to Wilmington, Delaware from Chicago, and while I'm still settling in, it's good to experience a place with fresh eyes. I'm excited about adding more local images to the portfolio, as well as getting out to a few different places in the upcoming months: (sweet home) Chicago, Florida, and Belgium.
